This policy explains what personal data INB IT FIRM collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it.

What we collect

  • Enquiries and quote requests — the name, email address, phone number, organisation and message you type into our forms.
  • Blog comments — the name and comment you submit, and an email address if you give one. Your email address is never published.
  • Newsletter signups — the email address and, optionally, the phone number you provide.
  • Traffic statistics — a per-day page count, the page visited, the referring page, and a coarse device description (for example "Mobile · Android · Chrome").

Your IP address and approximate location

We record the IP address your device connects from, and use it to work out an approximate location — typically the city, region and country, together with the name of your internet provider. We use this to understand which parts of Ghana and which other countries our enquiries come from, so that we can serve those areas better.

The lookup is performed by ipwho.is, which receives the address for that purpose only. Results are approximate: an address frequently resolves to your provider's exchange rather than to where you actually are.

You can ask us to delete your address at any time and we will do so. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Translation

This site offers a translation button powered by Google Translate. Loading any page therefore also loads a script from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and the address of the page you are reading. If you use the button, the text of that page is sent to Google to be translated. This happens under Google's own privacy policy, not ours.

Cookies

This site sets a single session cookie (INBSESSID). It carries no personal data — it exists so that a form submission can be matched to the page that produced it, which is what stops a third-party site from submitting forms in your name. It is marked HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict, and Secure whenever the site is served over HTTPS, and it expires when you close your browser.

Why we hold this data

To answer your enquiry, to prepare and discuss a quotation, to publish comments you asked to be published, to send updates you asked to receive, and to understand which pages of this site are useful. We do not use your data for any other purpose.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and quote requests: for as long as needed to serve you, and thereafter for our business records.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
  • Traffic records, including IP addresses and derived locations,: individual visit rows are pruned after 90 days; only the anonymous daily totals are kept longer.
  • Security logs (sign-in attempts, blocked submissions): kept while relevant to protecting the site.

Who else sees it

Your data is held in our own database. It is shared only with the service providers needed to operate the site — our hosting provider, our email provider when we reply to you, and our SMS gateway if you asked for SMS updates. None of them is permitted to use it for their own purposes.

How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are verified against the session that produced them, uploads are re-encoded and stripped of embedded metadata before storage, and administrator passwords are stored only as a modern one-way hash. Access to the content management system is limited, rate-limited and logged.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from updates using the link in any message we send, or by contacting us. We respond to requests within a reasonable period and at no charge.

Children

This site is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
